The new study on illegal firearms trafficking: final report of ECOFIT out now

The final report of project ECOFIT, written by Transcrime (project coordinator) together with SELEC and Tilburg University, is now available.

The report analyses 5 operational tools which have been selected as indicators of international cooperation in the fight against firearms trafficking, namely mechanisms for data collection, mechanisms for data sharing, national focal points on firearms, joint investigations, and controlled deliveries. For each tool, the main gaps related to their use and the results of the impact assessments are presented, in this way allowing to identify recommendations and guidelines to make international cooperation more effective.

The final report is available on the Ecofit page.
