DATACROS project

Kick-off meeting

Transcrime hosted the kick-off meeting of the project DATACROS at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. The meeting involved representative from each of the Partners participating to the project: Agence Française Anticorruption (AFA, France), Cuerpo Nacional de la Policia (CNP, Spain) and Investigative Reporting Project Italy (IRPI, Italy). In the meeting, the overall scope and structure of the project were presented, and an in-depth discussion with Partners about the characteristics that the tool should possess in order to address their operational needs was held.

DATACROS – Developing A Tool to Assess Corruption Risk factors in firms’ Ownership Structure is a research project co-funded by European Union Internal Security Fund – Police, aimed at developing a tool prototype to detect anomalies in firms’ ownership structure that can flag high risks of collusion, corruption and money laundering in the European single market. DATACROS is carried out by an international consortium coordinated by Transcrime – Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Italy).
